Review Colombia Supremo, Five pound bag / Masterpiece Coffee Co.:One of our lightest roasts, this Colombia Supremo, (Supremo standing for the highest grade) can easily stand on its own with its smooth and vibrant taste. We use this coffee in several of our blends to provide body and a smooth, round finish. An excellent cup to be enjoyed all day long. When this coffee is released into the cooling tray the sound of the second crack is on the verge of becoming intense and the surface of the bean is dry and light brown in color.

This coffee is lively and nicely balanced with its delicate and flavorful finish. We've recently been roasting a Oaxaca Pluma from the southern portion of the central mountain region in Mexico. Roasted a tad longer than our lightest roast. Specs of oil will begin to surface as this coffee is cooling.

This medium-bodied dark roast is smoky and pungent with a curiously sweet flavor along with a chocolate and floral aroma. Because this is a decaf, the un-roasted bean is much darker in color than a non-decaf. This is a result of the decaf procedure. Roasted to an Italian roast level, this decaf has a wonderful deep auburn color to it along with a very oily surface.

Review Estate Java Coffee, Five pound bag / Masterpiece Coffee Co.:This Kayumas Estate coffee produces potent floral and fruity tones with a rich full-body and balanced acidity, (mouthfeel). Java is one of the worlds oldest coffees and to date is still widely used in the worlds oldest coffee blend, (Mocca Java). Another great coffee to roast! This coffee is released at a very specific point where the oils are just beginning to appear and the bean is beginning to reach a semi-sweet chocolate appearance. Oils will continue to surface. This particular coffee is processed using the wet method which invloves the soaking of the coffee fruit in order to soften it and remove the bean. This process gives the coffee a little bit more of its fruity and floral nuances.

To the point where the oils are just about to appear as small specs on the beans surface. These oils will start to appear as the coffee is cooling.

Used in many of our blends, this light roasted, medium body coffee is wonderful on its own. Lively, buttery tones with a smooth and inviting finish. One of our lightest roasts. Because this is a decaf coffee you will notice that the roasted bean is a bit darker than a "non-decaf" coffee. This is because the coffee has been processed and the un-roasted bean itself is quite darker in color.
